About The Hollybush Inn Breedon


The Hollybush Inn sits nicely tucked away in the sleepy village of Breedon on the Hill is a beautiful black and white timbered pub with low ceilings. Situated at the foot of the hill that gives the village its name, just off the village green.

It is a friendly pub with a welcoming bar serving a selection of real ales and ciders along with a selection of hand picked wines.

Opening Hours – 

Monday to Saturday : 12noon -3.00pm &  6.00pm – 11.00pm

Sunday : 12noon -3.30pm & 6.00pm – 10.30pm

Food & Drink


Local Ales & Ciders – 2/3 Real Ales on Draught, Large selection of bottled beers & Continental Lagers and the local Leatherbritches Ale is often available

Dining –  Bar Snacks are available at lunchtime while The Hollybush has a nice restaurant area which suits evening meals.

Our “Simple Things, Done Well” are our old classics, honest food from local ingredients, and perfect for those yearning for a brief interlude from the day’s business or about to negotiate the local Cloud Trail, pop into Breedon Priory or a climb to the top of Breedon Hill!

Sunday Lunch is served from 12 Noon to 2.45pm – serving a changing array of roasted meats fresh vegetables and potatoes.

The Hollybush Inn has a very nice garden popular in the summertime for eating or just enjoying a leisurely pint in the sunshine after a day walking or cycling the Cloud Trail.

The Knockerdown offers a large selection of  draught beers, lagers and wines –  a new guest ale is available each month – plus they offer an extensive Coffee menu & traditional English tea

The Knockerdown Restaurant has firmly established itself as one of the best places to dine in the Derbyshire Dales. It is popular with local people as well as visitors to the area – an extensive menu freshly prepared by their team of chefs –  local ingredients are used where ever possible ensuring the highest standards of freshness

A selection of Specials from the Boards – on Sundays in addition to the full menu and Specials boards  a traditional roast is served with a choice of meats
