Telynau Teifi Harps

Nestled deep in the Welsh valleys, Telynau Teifi Harps are now globally respected for how they carry on the Welsh history and tradition of harp making and their stunning sounds.

Telynau Teifi Harps make harps using craftsmanship that has been handed down through generations, from master harp makers to their apprentices.

Making harps is an ancient and time honoured tradition in Wales – Wales is known as the Land of the Harp.

The company was founded by the acclaimed harp maker Allan Sheirs, apprentice to the late renowned John Weston Thomas.

With funding from the European Union in 2004 they purchased a Victorian school by the River Teifi – the ambition is to secure the harp making traditions of Wales for future generations.

The Harp Centre of Wales Telynau Teifi Harps combine the secrets of generations with innovative technology and materials such as titanium and carbon fibre.

Telynau Teifi Harps are distinguished by their exceptional sound quality and sought after by harpists worldwide – ‘They sing like the songbirds that lend their names to our harps’ to quote the owner.

There are harp playing tutorials buying advice and all the information you could ever need about harps on their website with videos.
