Around & About

From the limestone valleys of the White Peak to the wild uplands of the Staffordshire Moorlands, countless walks, viewpoints and hidden corners lie just minutes from our door.

Nestled within Longnor’s historic Market Hall, built in 1873, Moorlands Café combines the character of one of the Peak District’s most distinctive buildings with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Once the centre of a thriving rural marketplace serving the surrounding Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District, the hall remains at the heart of village life today. Owner James brings his Welsh heritage and passion for good food to the café, creating a menu rooted in honest cooking while introducing occasional Persian-inspired twists that add colour, spice and individuality.

The result is a café that respects its history while looking confidently towards the future.
