Cafe Môr - Freshwater West

Cafe Môr is a street food outlet at Freshwater West beach in South Pembrokeshire.

‘Môr’ means ‘sea’ in Welsh and is pronounced the same way as ‘more’ – this superb little beach shack has a fantastic reputation on the British street food scene.

In 2014 Cafe Môr won the BBC Food & Farming award for ‘Best Street food/Take Away in the UK’ and earlier, in 2011 it was awarded ‘Best of the Best’ at The British Street Food Awards and in 2015 they went over to power their kitchens using solar & wind energy.

They use only local lobster & crab from DASH shellfish in Little Haven & fish from Milford Haven as well as incorporating foraged seaweeds.

Plus they have their own Beach Beef Burgers made by Andy at Yerberston Gate Farm – they have laverbread in them to add an out of this world depth to the flavour.

There menu consists of lots of interesting and eclectic stuff – see website above for menus, recipes and stacks of interesting information.

The company has grown and now the café is part of – The Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company.
