Weymouth

Weymouth is one of the UK’s most beautiful seaside resorts, and blessed with one of its sunniest and warmest climates – Weymouth offers plenty of activities and attractions – its sandy beach is dotted with colourful beach huts and backed by Georgian houses plus a Jurassic Skyline, a revolving viewing tower and Victorian Nothe Fort offers harbour views.

Back in the day when we used to catch the old bathtub of a ferry out to Guernsey we never stopped to savour the place – it always seemed night when we arrived here.

Weymouth is a mecca for all types of sea fishing – the stone pier is ideal for beginners and expert fisherman alike to catch a variety of species – Kids can have fun using crab lines over the side and in the summer the Mackerel come in close to the pier and beach for anyone to catch who can cast out some feathers.

Weymouth Beach is a curving arc of golden sand adjacent to the town centre with the pier at the southern end -the shallow waters are ideal for swimming, and a range of other activities are on offer during summer, from donkey rides to Punch and Judy shows – the sand is exceptional for sand castle building.
